What Dan Stands For

The Milton Community and school district are amazing. It's the reason why the O'Neil family moved here. Together, with your help Dan with the assistance of the School Committee and the Milton community can create a better system where we value all students on an individual basis, enhance Science and Math programs, close achievement gaps of those students that are in need, and bring students with IEPs the necessary tools and funding to succeed. 

Dan has brought a strong and consistent leadership at each stop along his career, and he's committed to bringing that leadership to the Milton School Committee. Leadership and accountability are paramount especially with regard to our budget, an operational override and the construction of a new school. Milton Schools need a more substantial commitment to Math and Science and our Special Education programs. Each student in Milton deserves to be given an opportunity for excellence in their pursuit of an education. 

The use of  public funds has to be spent responsibly and accurate records must be available to the pubic for transparency. It also involves creating and maintaining budgets, and regularly reviewing them to address variations and predict future expenditures.  Our multi-year  budgetary plan requires consistent School Committee oversight in order to deliver our students the necessary services and programs. Tough decisions have to be made today to prevent large costly operational overrides in the future. Dan is committed to make the best, well-informed budgetary decisions.
